Chocolate Coffee Cake

Food Recipe by Home-Chef Arwa Ibrahim.

First mix dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl add 2 cups of granulated sugar,

  • 1 3/4th cups of flour,

  • 3/4th cup of cocoa powder( use the rich one, it really matters),

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 

  • 1 1/2  tsp baking soda, and

  • 1/2 tsp salt.

Mix well.

Now whisk all the wet ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs,

  • 1 cup warm brewed coffee,

  • 1 cup warm milk,

  • 1/2 cup oil,

  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla syrup.

The batter would be quite thin.

Now, mix both dry and wet ingredients. Consistency will be thin.

Now transfer the batter into two equal pans and bake it for about 30 mins( depends on your oven completely) at 180° 

For your frosting:

  • Melt chocolate (i used galaxy)

  • Whisk 1 cup butter  and 2 cups of sugar together.

  • Add 1  1/2 vanilla syrup.

  • Add the melted chocolate now and 1 tbsp of fresh cream as well.

  • Beat it well till shiny.

Do the frosting of your cake and enjoy.

I sprinkled little coffee over the cake. Looks pretty eh!?
