Kunafa

Kunafa is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert with a creamy texture with a crunchy crust. Here's a recipe of kunafa made with vermicelli.


iNGREDIENTS:

  • 150grm Roasted Vermicelli

  • ยผth cup Butter

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • ยผ cup Powdered Pistachios for garnish


  • ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ : 125 ml Thick Cream 1 cube Kiri Cheese

  • ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ ๐š๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ: ยฝ cup Sugar ยฝ cup Water 1 tsp Rose water


METHOD: C๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ :In a bowl add Kiri cheese and cream , mix it well to prepare cream filling. S๐ฎ๐ ๐š๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ: In a pan add water, sugar and cook until sugar gets dissolved. Cook it until thicken and keep on stirring. When syrup is ready add rose water in it. ๐๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ: *Crush vermicelli as thin as possible, mix it with melted butter and mix well. *Take a round cake tin, grease it with butter and add ยฝ of the vermicelli mix, spread it as a thin layer

*Sprinkle some Mozzarella cheese on top. *Above that add cream filling. (Make sure that cream doesn't touch the sides of tin ) . *Spread another layer of Mozzarella cheese on cream. *Then top it with remaining vermicelli, cover all the part with vermicelli. *Bake it in a preheated oven at 180ยฐc for 10 mins. *Transfer it to a serving plate and pour hot sugar syrup all over(syrup must be hot, it makes the vermicelli soft). *Garnish on top with powdered pistachios. ' Tip : You can even make kunafa using Kunafa dough.
