Lahori Tawwa Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast and leg piece 1 each

  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

  • Yogurt 2 tbsp

  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp

  • Red chili flakes 2 tbsp

  • Crushed coriander 1 tbsp

  • Garam masala 1/2 tbsp

  • Zeera powder 1/2 tbsp

  • Black pepper 1/2 tbsp

  • Lemon water 2 tbsp

  • Orange food color 1/4 tbsp.

  • Salt to taste 🧂 -Oil 6-8 tbsp

  • Garlic 2 cloves (finely chopped)

  • Tomato 2 (cut in very small cubes)

  • Onion 1 (cut in very small cubes)

  • Green chilis 8-10 (cut in thick pieces)

  • Ginger (1 cube cut in thin pieces)

  • Lemon (thin slices)

  • Cilantro (finely chopped)


Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, yogurt, red chili powder, red chili flakes, crushed coriander, garam masala, zeera powder, black pepper, lemon water, food color and salt for at least 4-5 hours

  2. Shallow fry chicken pieces in oil for 10 minutes each side on a medium flame -Now take 1 tbsp oil on Tawwa and fry garlic in it; sauté tomato and onion for 5 minutes

  3. Put chicken pieces in it and let it cook with gravy for 5 minutes on each side at a medium flame -In a different pan, add few drops of oil and sauté green chilis for 2 minutes

  4. Now garnish chicken with green chilis, ginger, lemon and cilantro


Serve with Paratha or Pita bread 😌
