Paneer Balls served with Smooth, Rich & Creamy Gravy.
For the Koftas:
3-4 boiled potatoes
1 cup Paneer (cottage cheese
1 tbsp chopped green chillies
1 & 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp grated ginger
2-3 tbsp cornflour
Oil- for frying
Mix all the above ingredients except the oil and make them in medium size balls and fry them in medium hot oil , when they are well fried take them out on a paper towel and keep them aside.
For the Gravy:
Butter- 3 tbsp + 2 tbsp
1 cup sliced onions
1 & 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
3 tbsp cashew nuts
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin(zeera) powder
Cream - 2 tbsp
1 tsp of caraway seeds (shahzeera)
1 inch cinnamon stick
In a pan melt the butter, then add the onions sauté them till they caramalise a bit then,
Add the whole spices (shahzeera, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves) then
Add the tomatoes and the spices to it and cook well till the tomatoes become mushy.
Then add cashews to it and cook till they become soft.
Cool down the mixture and then grind it into a fine paste.
Now in another pan melt 2 tbsp of butter to it add the Grinded tomato paste and cook for a
3-4 mins, then add the cream mix well cook for 2 mins and garnish with coriander leaves/ cilantro
While serving place the koftas in a serving dish and then pour the gravy on top and drizzle with cream, never put the kofta’s in the curry and keep them
