Food Recipe by Home-Chef Karen's Kitchen
1 1/2 cup Rava/ Semolina
1 cup Yogurt
1 1/2 cup water
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
Mix all together nicely and set it aside for minimum 30 minutes.. Longer is better as the Rava tends to soak in the liquid and become moist.
Steam the water in a steamer or a cooker.
Add 1 sachet of Fruit Salt Eno and combine all together (don't overmix)
Pour the batter in a greesed plate and drop it in the steamer.
You can Sprinkle some red Chilli powder on top.
Cook for about 10 minutes.
For tempering, Heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour this on top of dhokla and spread it well.
Serve hot. This dish does not need chutney but if you like, you can always have it with some green chutney.
